Friends-friend

To build our your MVP, one option is that you ask a friend to do it for you.

Your friend (or friend’s friend, or friend’s son/daughter, etc) may be very good at writing software. But there’s a subtle problem that can affect non-technology founders, which is that if you are low on resources, you have to accept what you’re given.

And the resource that’s close at hand might not be right for you. For example, if your friend’s friend spends a lot of time developing high frequency algorithmic trading code for hedge funds, that might not translate that well into very user experience focused approach needed for a really solid B2C offering.

Even though that resource may be cheap/free and close at hand, you still need to qualify it as the right resource for you, in the same way that you’d qualify a software AGENCY as being right for you.

How you qualify a software agency is a big topic for a 60 second short, but I have lots on my YouTube channel about this.
